Welcome to Year 3's page all about the wonderful things that we get up to in 3S and 3W.
We are looking forward to a great year with loads of brilliant things going on.

There was no awards assembly last week as the hall was being used to give all children the chance to take part in a Diwali Dance Workshop.

Week beginning 3rd November - we will be learning...
Last week children completed writing their own Non-Chronological reports about Ancient Egyptian life. This week we will be looking at traditional tales. We will be learning different methods for adding and subtracting numbers in maths.
In Science we will be looking at nutrition and diet and learning about what we need to be eating to help us stay healthy.
We will be continuing to learn about the Ancient Egyptians. We will be looking at what has happened to our mummified apple pieces.
PE has now moved to a Wednesday and we will be learning how to play dodgeball. All children need a PE kit in school. Children also need to be able to remove their own earrrings to be able to take part. If your child is unable to remove their own earrings they should come to school without earrings on PE days.
We have finished our DT unit and will be starting an Art unit.
All children have started learning Spanish - last week we developed our understanding of how to introduce ourselves using 'Hola' and 'Buenos Dias'
Other news........
Last week all children will be took part in a Diwali dance workshop. All of the children learnt a dance based on the story of Rama and Sita - everybody really enjoyed the session.

On Friday we celebrated Black History Month and children produced work based on the artist Esther Mahlangu.
We hope you all have a lovely half term and we look forward to seeing you again on Monday 3rd November.
