Young Readers Programme
For the last three years we have been lucky enough to be invited to take part in the Literacy Trust Young Readers Programme. Their aim is to ensure that all children leave primary school able to read well and feel that owning books is something which can help increase each child's chance of this. Through the Young Readers Programme, children are given the opportunity to choose new books to keep through a series of fun events. Due to the pandemic we have had to run our event slightly differently this year but it didn't stop us having a great time! We all managed to get dressed up as our favourite book characters and carried out a range of literacy, art and drama activities to explore the magical world a book has to offer!
